From the Mail and Empire building we walked along Yonge St. We met brother Issie on Yonge St. near King St. We went into a moving picture show at the Crystal Palace on Yonge St. and Arcade. We were there from 9.15 P.M. to 10.45 P.M We a picture called sacred jewel from "The Lotus-dancers. When we reached home we met our neighbour A. Blackman coming out of our house. I read the results to my parents. M. B. Slatkin was also here. I retired at about midnight.

After dinner at about 12.30 noon I went to the Reference Library [??] cor. College and St. George Sts. I was there from 12.45 - 5. P.M, reading "Old Mortality" by Scott. I saw my friends Morris Gold and J. J. Glass there. After supper at about 6.20 P.M. I went down to Richmond and Yonge Sts and saw my brother <u>Issie</u> as appointment. We went down to the tailors' <u>Bolton Bros</u>. on Queen St, near McCall [sic] I remained there from 7 - 9.15 P.M. I did a little reading. Retired at about midnight. In to-day's paper it appears that Yeomens bet [sic] Hiltz by 4 votes in Ward I.

<u>Sunday 3</u>

Finished "Old Mortality" by Sir Walter Scott, to-day. I did nothing particular throughout the day. Mrs. Esther [Blenstift] was here at about supper time and brought a nice present for Samuel's wedding. I went to Joe's house, next door to us, at about 8. P.M. and found him studying German grammar. I helped him out a little. Then I went to visit my old friend <u>Samuel Moss</u>  on 37 Denison Ave., whom I have not seen for some time. He had company at his house and introduced me to them. He told me about his exams at Jarvis High School. I was at his house for about ten minutes and then went off for a little walk. At Dworkin's ice-cream parlour on St. Patrick St. I had an ice-cream and candy. When I came home I found <u>Louis & Bertha</u> here also <u>Mr. Schnittman</u> (my sister Sarah's future husband) was here. Retired at about 11.30 P.M. [end p. 2]
